Between 1994 and 2011, David Barbour travelled to Havana 17 times to document life on the street. Highlights to his career include a World Press Award in 1985 and a Mid Career Canada Council Grant in 1999 to continue his project in Havana. As an assignment photographer, he has travelled to over 40 countries and considers Havana to be the most interesting city in the world for street photography.
